EMT-B Basic Course

Description

This course is open to anyone interested in obtaining the necessary skills to provide emergency medical care as a health care provider. With the proper training the student will be able to obtain their EMT-B Certification needed for both volunteer and career positions available throughout the state of New Jersey. The course is presented through lectures, practical skills, scenarios, and 10 hours hospital clinical experience. Total course time consists of 110 hours with classes being offered on Monday through Thursday from 8:00a - 5:00p. A strong emphasis is placed on working as part of the EMS system providing appropriate emergency care to those we serve. Course size is limited. Students need to provide a valid CPR provider card prior to start of class. Any student who needs a CPR class may contact MLEMS for information.
