Cutting Torches for Rescue Operations

Description

This program is intended for any emergency response personnel who may respond to an incident where the use of metal cutting torches and related equipment might be employed. This program will be primarily “hands-on”, and will give the student the opportunity to practice with oxy-acetylene, exothermic, and gasoline (Petrogen) cutting torches. This program helps the student meet “Technician Level” requirements of various sections of NFPA 1670, including Vehicle and Machinery Rescue and Structural Collapse Rescue. This class would also be beneficial for firefighters who might perform rapid intervention activities, or heavy forcible entry operations.
